You’ll spend nearly three hours a day out on the ice with our top instructors, and the rest of the day participating in off-ice activities including dry land training, swimming, roller hockey, and other team-oriented games. Our evening program is full of extreme games, crazy contests, hilarious skits and special speakers. The week finishes off with All-Star Friday including a camp highlight video and awards presentation for parents and campers. All campers receive a AIA/YWAM Hockey practice jersey.
On-Ice Program
We pride ourselves on emphasizing skating fundamentals. Through on-ice demonstrations and repetition of specific skating movements, players’ speed, agility and balance will be enhanced. The skating technique is then applied while shooting, passing, stick handling and checking in game simulated drills.
Morning Session: POWER SKATING—acceleration, stride, tight turns, stopping, crossovers, agility, body checking
Afternoon Session: PUCK SKILLS—Puck control, stick handling, shooting, passing, game situational drills and scrimmages Note: Goaltender instruction provided at all camps
Off-Ice Program
Off-ice programs include dry land training, roller hockey, basketball, soccer, extreme games, swimming, video sessions and inspirational talks from coaches, instructors and guest speakers.
